At the 2009 annual meeting Cathy Wurzer spoke about her book,
Tales of the Road: Highway 61.
Artists Among Us
An art show featuring the work of local artists, opened the summer at the Cross River Heritage Center.
In July, an Artist's Day was featured. Many enjoyed interacting with and watching the artists work.

On August 4th,
2007 the Schroeder Area Historical Society hosted a reunion for
people who lived and worked at
Reunion guests had the opportunity to visit with old friends, listen
to the memoirs of the days at

Quilt Raffle
The Schroeder Area Historical Society holds an Annual Raffle for a
quilt which is hand made by ladies of the society.
The 2009 quilt raffle is called "Autumn Symphony of Quilts". Each quilter created a quilt, wall hanging
or lap quilt using one yard of the same fabric along with each quilters other choices of fabric.
The drawing for the five quilts created, called " challenge quilts", will be held on November 21 at 2pm at CRHC's Holiday Bazaar.
Arrangements
may be made for adult or school group tours and activities.
We will feature local authors and other special programs throughout
the season. Watch for updates of events.
